WCAN will be hosting its first in-person event of the year with our corporate sponsor, Travers Smith.

This event will be hosted at the firm's London office and will focus on providing you with a comprehensive introduction to the world of commercial law.

We will focus on connecting you to Black women within the Legal industry. The day encompasses a talk on the firm's corporate practice area and an international strategy talk. You will gain a lot of insight into the knowledge you need to make competitive applications. You will also receive an office tour and a chance to network with firm representatives.

To be eligible you must be : 

​

- a WCAN member 

 - first-year law & second-year non-law (3 year or 4 year degree programme)

- Possess an interest in commercial law 

- Preparing to secure vacation schemes and training contracts in the next academic year

​

Breakfast and Lunch will be provided 

Travel expense of up to £100 will be reimbursed
