About The Event
After the huge success of our Annual Law Conference last year, WCAN will be hosting its Spring Law Conference focusing on aspiring solicitors and those committed to pursuing a career in commercial law.
The Spring Law Conference will focus on connecting the students, graduates and early-year professionals in our network to inspire Black women within the legal industry. The day encompasses career talks by inspiring speakers, a series of skills-building workshops, interactive panel discussions and meetings and networking with our partner law firms. Its aim is to empower, educate, elevate and encourage our members. This exclusive event aims to provide the women in attendance with the practical skills necessary to step into personally and professionally success within the legal industry.

This year’s theme ‘What she Tackles, she Conquers' will be focused on inspiring and guiding you through a career in law.

Eligibility Criteria
​To be eligible to attend this event, you must be:

an undergraduate student or graduate;

from a Black African, Black Caribbean, Mixed Black (e.g. White and Black Caribbean), or another Black background;

Interested in pursuing a career in commercial law;

Preparing to secure vacation schemes and training contracts this cycle;
